Knowledge & Experience
Debra Cope, President of Cope Financial PR, offers clients the benefits of her 30 years of experience in financial journalism and corporate communications. Debra is known for her deep knowledge of financial services, including banks, mutual funds, insurance companies, and investment banking, as well as for outstanding skills as a writer and editor. She maintains strong relationships with journalists and producers at local, national, and global news organizations as well as industry trade news organizations.
Debra's experience includes seven years as director of communications for Promontory Financial Group, the global financial services consulting firm, and a decade at American Banker, the financial services daily, where she directed daily news operations from the paper's headquarters in New York. She also served as banking team leader at Bloomberg, where she led a team of journalists responsible for covering financial services across North America, and was senior vice president for publishing at America's Community Bankers.
